While her reuse was surely just a matter of convenience that was never meant to be noticed, it does make for a subtle running joke: just like Pavel always drove a taxi, this woman is destined to perform announcements and voiceovers on every world. The most likely candidate for this actress is one J.J. Rodgers (pictured right), who mentions having done "voice-over work, supplying background voices on TV shows like SLIDERS." Like any good recurring character, the voiceover lady has already found a home in fan fiction. Look for her in Slidemania's S7 as Marcia Ketterman, a books-on-tape narrator and hospital receptionist.
