As the vortex opens on a beach, the sliders come flying out "man, I hate getting sand in my shorts, I'm going to the bathroom, how long til we slide?" Remmy asks Laura "we only have 12 minutes this time, so make it fast" as the others stand around in sand, Remmy heads to the mens side, when a masked man attacked him, making Remmy go unconscious. The man pulls off the mask to be revealed as Remmy's double "nice to see you too, now I can get revenge on your friends for putting me through hell" the Remmy double ties Remmy up with rope and putting him in a stall. When the double returns a while after "Its about time, we need to get to a private area to slide out" "why do we need to slide out in a private place if people already saw us slide in?" Jacob asks Laura "we don't want to give worlds sliding tech, because they may use it in dangerous ways" "how about over there behind headquarters for the slide?" Remmy suggests "sounds fine to me" Ryan agrees. When the vortex opens, everyone slides out with not knowing that the Remmy they took with them is evil. On the other side, they come piling out one by one, when Remmy's double comes out, and smacking his head against a tree, causing him to fall to the ground uncoscious "we got to get him to a hospital, Rick call an ambulance" "right" Back at the beach, Remmy awakes to find himself tied up, he manages to untie himself, and finding out that his friends are gone "great, now what do I do. I got it, Quinn's double should be able to help"

When the ambulance arrives, Remmy's double is taken inside, while the others wait in the lobby "I hope Remmy doesn't get amnesia, because there would be no way to tell him anything about his past" Jacob states, "well I should know some things, since the first time we met, we chatted on worlds about his life" "what did he tell you?" Rick asks Laura. "He came from a similar world that Quinn, Jacob and his friends came from, except Maggie Beckett, a marine officer, who came from this Remmy's world, that even a longer story. When his professor died, they added this guy named Colin, to chase a maniac named Rickman, who I worked for, but a different Rickman, and then when Quinn and Maggie slid to a kromagg world, they thought that Remmy was their friend, but actually a double that was captured" "why didn't Quinn just slide him home?" Ryan asks "Quinn didn't find out about this until they made it to his homeworld-" "pardon me, but we need to talk, I'm Doctor, a holographic program in the assistance of the medical emergency's. As Remmy opens the Mallory gate, he heads to the door, and when he knocks, a woman comes to the door, opening it "may I help you?" "ya, is Quinn Mallory around, its really important" "sorry to say, but he died in the Gulf War, I'm Sara Mallory, or my friends call me Colin" "I'm Rembrandt Brown, its kind of hard to explain, but I come from a parallel world, and I was hoping that Quinn was a slider on this world-" "you know of sliding, my brother was working on it before he left for war, I know a device he was working on. Remmy started checking the basement out, when he finds videos with dates written on them. I think I just knocked out the power" the tape ends, so Remmy checks the dates for the recent one, and finds it. As he watches, the Quinn of this world kept sliding a secret for months, and slid by himself and the girl upstairs often did too "so did you find anything? -Oh my god, I didn't know that he recorded our travels" "there's more where that came from, I found his timer, but I really don't understand this" "I think I should remember about this, Quinn had always said that he had put a tracking device in the timer, in case he got lost, or wanted to track people here to meet them. So what did you want the timer for?" "ya, back to the story. We landed here on the beach, and I had to use the bathroom, but this guy who looked like me, a double took my place when my friends slid off this earth, but not just any double, he's working for kromaggs, and I think he wants revenge, on what, I wouldn't know" "who are the kromaggs, a gang?" "no there a differently evolved human, we visited them on many worlds, so I was hoping that the timer could track my friends portal to catch up and warn them"

As the sliders follow the holo-doctor, they are led inside a room, where Remmy's double is at, sleeping "here are your friends results, he has broken his leg, a fractured rib, and amnesia, and he will be released into your care after he is tested for drugs" "why does he need a drug test for?" Ryan asks "we do this to all patients that talk strange, like him, he was mumbling about sliding to parallel worlds, that technology doesn't exist, so off you go, we'll contact you soon-" "we are just traveling, can we wait in the waiting room?" Jacob asks "that's what I meant, you normal people are dumb as blondes" then as they exit, the holo-doc vanishes "I think he has rude manners, and I have blonde hair!" Laura yells. In the evening, Remmy sits down with Laura for dinner, not knowing what to say to each other "I think you'll get back to your friends soon" "I just can't wait to leave. "It was about 5 years ago, when I was driving my truck along this road, when this big huge whirlpool opened up and sucked me in, I drove my truck right into an iceberg, then I met Q'Ball, a nick name I had for Quinn, I also met his professor, and 2 women named Wade and Maggie. The five of us became good friends, until about 3 years into our journey, when we landed on this militaristic army base and this crazy colonel killed Arturo, and we added this guy named Colin Mallory, which is why I had an odd face when you said your nick-name, but then after a few slides we met Quinn's female version and she killed Colin. when me and Wade slid home, we were captured by the kromaggs, and I thought when this other Quinn came to get me-" the phone rings and Sara apoligizes to him "I'll be right back" At the Chandler, Jacob helps Remmy's double onto the bed, as everyone else follows "do you think I could be left alone, so I might get some sleep?" "sure thing Rem, we'll be in the bar, if you need us."

"Sorry about that, my boyfriend was on the phone, he's a lieutenant in the army. He coming home next week, would you like some more wine?" "sure" Sara starts pouring more into the glass, when she accidently spills some on his shirt "sorry! I better get you a towel" Sara runs to the kitchen, and Remmy follows as he unbuttons his shirt, "would you have any shirts I could wear?" "ya, follow me, you will have to wear one of Quinn's, since he's gone" when they got up to the room, Sara finds a box, opens it, pulling out a shirt for Remmy, but as Remmy takes his shirt off, it gets stuck "do you mind helping me?" then when the shirt is off, they look at each other, and begin kissing. Back in the bar, Remmy's double walks down to find the others "hey, I'm heading out for a walk, so don't wait up" "Remmy you shouldn't be walking like this, get back to the room" "Laura, I'm fine, I don't have much pain" "Hey Remmy, would like some company?" "sure Jacob lets go" the 2 head near the Golden Gate Bridge, because on this world, no cars are allowed on this bridge, but people can walk on it, since its a tourist stop of history. "Jacob, I was wondering if you could tell me about what happened to Quinn, Maggie, and Colin?" "I know some of your answer, Quinn was captured by the kromaggs, letting Ryan to join us, and as for Colin and Maggie, I really don't know, I mean I met them a few worlds back, but only for a short time, they double-crossed us, sliding out with a femagg, but Quinn hoped to find them and return them to their normal selves, even you said that they were probably under a spell-" Jacob didn't finish talking, because Remmy's double hit him over the head with a loose pole, then Remmy picks his body up, and tossing it over the bridge, then a splash is heard "1 down, 3 to go" Remmy speaks as he walks away from the bridge.
