Part 2
Sixty- seconds later…
The vortex opened on yet another world. The Jedi and Wade were
thrown from
it once again. They landed roughly as they did before.
Wade got to her
feet to confront the Jedi Knight.
" Alright tell me!" She insisted. " What did you mean, your friend
Max?"
She asked angrily. The Jedi just smiled. " To whom were
you referring to?"
Once again she demanded an answer. Wade then took notice to
their
surroundings. They were in a large room, with giant glass
windows, and
there was a balcony, which led out to a view of the city.
They had slid to
the Jedi's home world. Wade was over come by the site of it.
There were
flying craft's gliding threw the air, buildings that were twice
the size of
the one's on her home world. No words could describe the site
she saw, but
one.
" Amazing." She whispered.
" Miss Wells, I never thought I would be so happy to hear your yelling."
A
familiar voice said happily from behind. It was the voice
of Professor
Arturo. Wade quickly spun around. She found herself
face to face with a
friend she thought was long dead. " Judging by the expression
one your face
I can see you have many questions." The cheerful Professor said.
Wade was
filled with mixed emotions.
" But your dead, I saw you die." She whispered in disbelief. The
Professor
nodded his head.
" So that's what happen to him." Professor Arturo whispered to himself.
"You must have watched my double die, it was not me, I was right
where you
and the others left me." He said. The professor looked over
to the Jedi
then back to Wade. "It was so many worlds ago for you I doubt
you'd
remember". He said. Wade looked down and began to think.
" Wait, this is just way to much for me to take, " Wade began to
say. "
First you please explain to me, if you are my professor how you
found me,
and how you know I'm your Wade." She finished.
" Very well Wade, I'll tell you what you need to know." The professor said.
" How about the truth in so many words, then tell me where you found
a Jedi
Knight, and don't tell me in a galaxy far, far away!" She demanded.
The
Jedi rolled his eye's again.
" I haven't even seen Star Wars" The Jedi mumbled.
" Very well Wade, I'll tell you everything." Professor Arturo said.
" Do
you remember a time when we had thought we had slid home?
We all decided
that we would keep it quiet for a little while, but then the next
day I went
public with it? But it wasn't me." Professor Arturo
went on. " I was
taken prisoner by my double, there was a fight and…"
Flashback some Time ago…
Professor Arturo struggled to his feet, but he was too late, he watched
the
sliding vortex close, with it went his friends, and worse yet, they
brought
the impostor.
" Oh my god." He whispered to himself. This couldn't be happening
he
thought. Arturo's doubles assistant approached what she thought
to be her
boss. She had no idea that it was her boss who slid.
" Dam, we were close, what now? " She asked. Professor Arturo
thought to
himself, what better way to survive on a world with no allies, pretend
your
one of the bad guys.
" Now!" Professor Arturo shouted. " You will take me to my lab, there
is
much work to be done!" He had said as demeaning as he thought his
double
would be. The assistant looked at him for a brief second.
" Well, I'm
waiting!" Professor Arturo snapped at her.
" Of course." She replied. There was no longer any doubt in
her mind that
this rude short -tempered man was in fact her boss, the Professor
Arturo of
this world. Professor Arturo was perfect at acting angry and
short-tempered, it was like a second nature to him. Two things
now
motivated him, one of course was finding his friends, and the other
was
getting the hell off this world before anybody caught on.
He would have to
work around the clock.
Four months later…
Laughter filled the laboratory as the sliding vortex opened.
Standing in
front of the vortex was the professor. It was a site for soar
eyes, after a
long exile he was finally going to begin his search. The assistant
walked
into the room. She filled with excitement when she saw the
vortex.
" You did it! You did it!" She shouted with the excitement.
" Yes I did." Professor Arturo said.
"What now?" She asked. Professor Arturo was picking up a gym
bag; he looked
up to her and smiled.
" Give my regards your boss! If he ever gets home!" He said
as he went
diving into the vortex. The assistant's expression quickly
turned to
surprised, she then realized that the man was an impostor, not this
worlds
Professor.
" No!" She shouted. " Leave me the technology!" she yelled.
" You can't do
this to me!" She screamed. The Vortex closed, and with it
went her greedy
plans for fame.
Armed with a new sliding devise and some good old fashion hope Professor
Arturo was ready for the challenge's that lay ahead. It had
been a long
time since Professor Arturo felt the rush of the slide. He
loved the feel
of it, but dreaded the landing. Professor Arturo vowed
to himself, he
vowed that he would find his friends, and then get home, home now
that was
truly a site for soar eye's.
Present day.
" O.k. that make some sense, I'll buy that." Wade said. " But
how did you
find me? And how can you be sure it's really me?" She asked.
" Well for this next part I'll have to insist that you don't consider
me
loony." Professor Arturo said. " This next part is as
unbelievable as it
gets, but you must trust me, this is exactly how it happened."
Flashback three months after the Professor escapes exile.
The vortex opened and Professor Arturo was flung from it, only this
time his
landing was a soft one, it was like some greater force safely carried
him to
the ground. He had slid into a world that looked empty.
He scanned around
the empty place. Up in the sky the sun was just as bright
as it was on
every other world, the sky was a clear blue. There were no
trees in site
and yet there was fresh air, there was a gentle breeze. Arturo
felt safe
and secure.
" Welcome Professor, we have been expecting you." The loud
voice echoed
from everywhere at the same time. Professor Arturo quickly looked
around.
He was startled and a bit nervous; he could see no one, anywhere.
" Where are you, and how do you know my name?" Professor Arturo asked
the
voice.
" We are everywhere, we know everything." The voice said. The voice
gave a
soothing feeling to Professor Arturo, he felt out of danger, he
once again
felt safe.
" Who are you?" Arturo asked.
" We are the recorders of earth." The voice said.
" Which earth?" Professor Arturo asked curiously.
"All, we have been here since the dawn of the multiverse's existence."
The
great voice said. Professor Arturo was astonished.
" Can you help me?" Professor Arturo asked. Instantly
a timer appeared in
his hand. Professor Arturo looked down at in wonder, it was
like nothing
he'd ever seen before.
" It will allow you to slid at any time, you will need it to rescue
Miss
Wells." The voice said. Professor Arturo looked up puzzled.
He had no
idea of her abduction; he has never even seen a Kromagg. "
But be warned,
it will be the only help we can give you, in it are the coordinate's
to the
location of Wade, and the coordinate of another world which can
assist you."
The voice finished.
" What about Quinn, and Mr. Brown? Where are they?" Professor
Arturo
asked. There was a bright light in the sky, it flashed down
to the
Professor, and he felt the knowledge flow into his mind. He
then knew of
the details of Wade's abduction and how to rescue her, he also knew
that
Quinn and Remmy were constantly on the move so it would be difficult
to find
them. The Professor now knew the details of what had to be
done.
" Thank you, will I ever see you again?" He asked the mighty voice.
" No." The voice replied. A Sliding vortex opened. The
Professor took one
last look around and smiled. He went running in to the vortex.
Present day…
" So you see I slid to the center of the multiverse, a society so
old they
were here since the beginning, they could only do so much to help."
Professor Arturo finished. Wade had trouble believing any
of the stories.
But anywhere was better than being a Kromagg prisoner. Wade
looked over at
the Jedi.
" What about him?" She asked. "How did you find him? I don't
even know
he's name." She said.
On the Kromagg home world…
Desperately the Kromaggs search for an answer. Who was the
mysterious man?
Where did he come from? How many more of them were
there? Was there a way
to fight such a threat?
"Sir, I've found something." The Kromagg officer said.
"What is it?" Asked his superior. The officer held up a videotape.
"It's from Earth 12. It's called a motion picture." The
officer said.
"A what?" The superior asked.
"A movie sir." The officer answered.
"I know what a movie is! How can this help us with our problem!"
He
shouted. "What is it called?" He asked.
"It is called... Star Wars."
