Quinn Mallory is the genius behind sliding, and holds himself fully responsible for the situation the group is in now. Hopefully, one day, he can get them home. Wade Welles is Quinn's best friend. She came along on the slide for the adventure it held. Little did she realize the possible consequences of her decision. Professor Maximilian Arturo was Quinn's physics professor before the slide. He is the intellect of the group and is quite possibly the only person, besides Quinn, who understands exactly what's going on. Rembrandt "Cryin' Man" Brown is a former R&B singer turned slider. He was one of two unwitting members of this group, but as time goes by he becomes more used to the idea of sliding from world to world. Jayson Garrick is a dreamer. From the time he was a child he dreamed of exploring the unknown, more specifically parallel worlds. He was accidentally sucked into the vortex while walking past Quinn's home, and he can never thank Quinn enough for his mistake. Maggie Beckett never really belonged with this group. Her personality clashed with Wade and Jayson from day one. Yet for some odd reason Quinn feels close to her. Only time will tell where this leads. Colin Mallory is the brother Quinn never knew he had. A naïve young genius from a backward world. He has been accepted into the group without question, but does he hide a sinister secret?
