'Twas a sad day in programming history — CBS announced its fall lineup for the 2000/2001 season on May 17, 2000 and to the surprise of millions, its best series, "Now and Again," would not return.

"Now and Again" ran for a full season on CBS, and captivated fans with romance, suspense, comedy and science fiction, bringing together a diverse audience and pulling in respectable ratings.

The cast of the show, at the post-season cast party, reportedly said the chances of renewal were very good. But something happened. Just what is not known.

This site has been constructed with one simple purpose — resolution. Whether that be in the form of another season of Now and Again or a simple TV movie to resolve the cliffhanger is up to you and CBS. Personally, I would settle for a TV movie, but would prefer another season. It is a tragedy that a show such as this be cut down so soon before its time. But we the fans can do something about it. We can succeed.

Take for instance the the hit science fiction series "Sliders." Canceled in 1996 after two short seasons to the fans' utter disappointment. The show was renewed, however, after the fans decided to stop crying and do something about it. Fast forward to 1997. "Sliders" is canceled by FOX again. Do the fans give up? No — they band together and convince another network to pick it up. The show went on to have another two seasons on the Sci-Fi Channel before being canceled again. Now, due to the recognition it has received over the years, a feature film is reportedly in the works.

What the fans did for "Sliders," we can do for "Now and Again". Here you will find the addresses you need to write the powers that be and let them know how you feel. CBS doesn't realize what a fan base this show has. Now is the time to let them know — and time is of the essence, my friends.

Join the Now and Again Mailing List!

Since I made this page the day of the cancellation announcement, my life has become so busy that I have had little to no time for updating any of my pages (this being one of many). That being the case, I am not exactly "in the loop" as to what is going on with the campaign. I do not wish to be a detriment to the cause, as I care as much about the show as I did when I made this page. Because of this, I am referring everyone who writes and e-mails me to join the Now and Again mailing list. If you want to know the latest on the campaign, these people will know. Thank you to all the people from around the world who have encouraged me with their e-mails. It is apparent that Now and Again still has a strong group of dedicated fans, and that is what will bring the show back.
JOIN THE LIST TODAY! NOW AND AGAIN CAN STILL BE SAVED.

June 8, 2000 - According to an e-mail from Gail Novak, Eric Close and Dennis Haysbert are personally asking the fans to send letters to CBS! Gail met the two N&A stars last weekend at the Crosby Golf Tournament in North Carolina.

Now and Again won big at the Saturn Awards. See the details here.

Cinescape had this to say about the campaign:
There's a fan movement afoot to save the CBS TV series Now and Again which was not on the network's fall schedule. However, according to Wanda at E! Online, though the series looks dead, there's a chance it could return as a midseason replacement. Hoping to duplicate the success of the Roswell/Tabasco campaign launched at The WB, fans of N&A are being encouraged to send the CBS TV network plastic eggs, which like the hot sauce for the other show, does have meaning within this program.
